Through the month of October, students and faculty have been submitting Halloween/October related drawings for the first ever UNK Inktober contest. Over 120 drawings were submitted through the month with the best of the pile being selected daily. Students were able to create their own content or use the official Inktober prompts with the only requirements being that they were drawn in ink and related in some way to this spookiest of months.
UNK Art and Design faculty then voted on their picks for five different categories: Best of the Best, Nightmare Fuel (creepiest), Uncreative Category Name for Most Creative Work, Freaky With the Inky (best use of media), and You Went With Adorable? (Cutest/Prettiest). An additional category for Best Faculty Drawing was also included on the ballot.

- Freaky With the Inky (Best Use of Media) – Hallie Prickett wins a $25 gift card to Amazon
- You Went With Adorable? (Cutest/Prettiest) – Alyssa Ross wins a $25 gift card to Amazon
- Best Faculty Drawing – Professor Hartman wins bragging rights
