Things got weirder than usual in the art department today. It started with a conversation between Professors May and Rapien as well as senior VCD major Jase Hueser. Something had to be done with the blank white wall temporarily set-up while the new add-on is being constructed. So, they grabbed some paint, brushes, and markers and began to draw on the wall.
Within minutes, students passing through the hallway began to join in, adding drawings and messages. Throughout the day, the scene has been the same with students eager to express themselves on this blank canvas.
Plans are to continue allowing students to draw on the wall for the remainder of the academic year (or until the wall comes down). Students are encouraged to focus on drawing and illustration and to make sure to keep any additions “clean and respectful to others.”
Stop by the Fine Arts Building and add your mark to the wall.
