UNK Art and Design’s Visual Communication and Design students took home a total of 13 medals from this year AIGA Show. The ceremony, which was held on Saturday at Kaneko in Omaha, exhibited the best of the best from students and professionals across the state. UNK was presented with four gold, one silver, and seven bronze medals by this year’s judges: Sadie Red Wing, Assistant Director of the Native Student Programs at the University of Redlands, Lakota graphic designer and advocate from the Spirit Lake Nation of Fort Totten, North Dakota; Marq Mervin, Multimedia Designer and digital media instructor at Florida State College at Jacksonville; and Rich Hollant, Principal, strategic director, and design director of CO:LAB, a firm working to connect communities to their embedded power with a focus on equity.
AIGA Show, hosted by AIGA Nebraska, is an annual event showcasing and celebrating the best in the state.
