The UNK Art and Design students won a Special Judges’ Citation and a gold ADDY Award for the department’s integrated brand identity campaign “Imagination.”  Student designers were Taylor Cody, Josh Rivas, Brooklyn Sorenson,  Shelty Webster, and Brittany Wolken. Faculty Dan May, Mark Hartman, and Richard Schuessler art directed. Doug Waterfield, Department Chair, narrated the video. 

Other 2015–16 UNK Student Gold Nebraska ADDY award winners are:

  • Marie Bombeck for Pup Palooza Pet Adoption  Festival, brand identity & campaign
  • Taylor Cody for Trifesta – Music. Art. Film., brand identity & campaign
  • Shai Matson Senior Exhibition Guerilla, marketing campaign
  • Lauren Van Winkle, Bahamas Incentive Trip, special event materials
  • Ethan Ochoa Lil’ Blue Street Eats, Mass Transit marketing

Silver Award Winners are:

  • Austin Gabehart for Coffee Doodle Doo, brand identity & campaign;
  • Austin Gabehart for Open Range Steakhouse, menu;
  • Kassidy McConville for Chance, photography campaign;
  • Ethan Ochoa for Catalyst Live/Call to Arms, packaging; 
  • Josh Rivas for Senior Exhibition Poster, poster (Josh Rivas won a Special Judges’ Citation);
  • Rachael Schacht for Vote, poster for Oak Park, brand identity & campaign;
  • Brittany Wolken for Hops for Honor, poster campaign;  
    Brittany Wolken for Lucid Lemon Printing,  brand identity & campaign; and
  • Vanesa Wragge for Brewzled Brewing Company, brand identity & campaign.  

Congratulations to the UNK Art branding project team, the other Gold Award winners (5), and the nine (9) Silver Award winners at the Nebraska ADDY competition. The Nebraska ADDY Competition is sponsored by the American Advertising Federation of Lincoln, and of Omaha.
