(2009 requirements) Student must be a high school senior during the current year, and must be enrolled at UNK during the next academic year with a Major in Art in order to be eligible to receive this scholarship. Applicants must:

1. Indicate on the form the Art Major they will declare at UNK. Applicants who select "Bachelor of Arts / Fine Arts in Studio" must choose at least one area of emphasis from the list on the scholarship application form.

2. Compose a short paragraph essay on "Why I want to study Art" and/or "My career goals are…in ten years I would like to accomplish" and/or "UNK was my first choice because." (150 words or less).

3. Submit ten (10) portfolio images (photographs or scans) that the student created in the past 2 years. Works should be selected from at least 2 areas in these disciplines; drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, or printmaking.

4. Provide their ACT or SAT score.

5. Arrange for a letter of reference from their high school art teacher.

6. Submit all required information by the scholarship deadline (Jan–March in 2009).
