I received my Master of Fine Arts in Studio Arts with an emphasis in Photography from the University of Idaho in May of 2000 and my Bachelors of Science in English with a minor in photography from the University of Wisconsin—Superior in 1996. I am currently an Associate Professor at the University of Nebraska at Kearney teaching Foundations Design and Photography. Previously, I taught photography and various studio art courses at Graceland University, Iowa State University, and the University of Minnesota at Duluth. My creative work explores the environment and our relationship to it. This has resulted in many bodies of work, which currently is taking the form of 19th century photographic process of tintypes in a body of work called “Myths of the West.”
