“Destruktion” in Art
The hallway ceilings in the Art wing of FAB have been peeled away to reveal bundles of snaking cables, undulating ducts, conduits and pipes. All has been laid bare in preparation for sprinkler installation that will bring the building up to code this summer.
Some recently painted walls have also fallen victim to the incessant march of progress. Stripped of the pitted and distressed display boards, the halls will be covered in carpet by Fall. The new surface will provide a more attractive display area, while reducing noise in the long concrete corridor. See photos.
