Design students Bob Heiden, Eric Nyffeler, Andrea Peachey, Lindsay Placzek, Erick Schroetlin, Elissa Sims, Rachel Sitzman, and Dawn Wallinger are exhibiting works in the Walker Art Gallery in the Fine Arts Building at UNK between April 16th and May 4th. A reception for the eight Spring 2007 Graduating seniors will be held on April 27th, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
District Nine will host a special awards presentation on April 28, 2007 at the Embassay Suites, Lincoln to honor 2007 ADDY Award winners, including five students from UNK. Adam Torpin took a gold for his Rock Star Clothing tags, Brandon Oltman won silver for his Fatty and the Twins punk music poster, Dawn Wallinger received silver for her Elan clothing tags, Casey Stokes collected a silver award for his Spoils of War exhibition, and Gabriello Re was awarded silver for Arcadia Organic Teas packaging.
Four VCD students won 2007 Brass Ring prizes. Cassie Ellenwood won second place for her Enviro (Logo/mark). Third place winners were Adam Torpin for his San Fermin Festival (Poster), Nathan Hansen for a Student Art Exhibition (Ad/promotion), Rachel Sitzman for Maravilla Watercolors (3D/Packaging), and Object/Function (B&W photography).

Three UNK studio art students will exhibit their works from April 2 through April 13, 2007 in the Walker Art Gallery. Ceramics, prints, and animation stills plus a 3-D animation by graduating seniors Jesse Jacobs, Abigail Om, and Michael Williams will be on display between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm weekdays. A reception will be held on Saturday, April 7th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
